A year passes and sometimes we forget the enormous changes, events and passings that occurred. Then, in late December, the media and our own informal question of “Where the heck did the year go?” causes us to think back on it all and try to make sense of things as we step off into the future of the coming year.
This past year was no exception in being tumultuous, sad, joyful, frightening and yet somehow filled with a certain amount of closure and perhaps a heavy dose of anticipation and optimism for what is coming next. The world came vividly to us as never before in many chapters like some sensational novel.
