New Orleans is an amazing city, and you described it so beautifully. We go down for Christmas every year. They offer the best deals and its a great time to do my Christmas shopping for unique, artistic pieces. We tend to overeat with the prix fix menus called Reveillon. The most amazing restaurants in the city offer such deals...you really can't beat it. And the hotels are beyond cheap...we book through www.neworleansonline.com/christmas. When we booked this year we got a gift certificate for $25 to Commander's Palace...that pays for my Bread Pudding Souffle and a drink or two. Hope to see many of your readers there this December.
